Max Mak is a director of photography that was born and raised in San Francisco and graduated from UCLA having studied film and television.

Max works both as a director of photography and as a camera operator. His work spans narrative films, music videos, documentaries, as well as reality television.

More than anything he loves creating stunning images and capturing moments to create a visual treat for the eyes. Some of his most rewarding experiences come from documenting moments that don’t get second takes. Although he is laid back and easy going on and off set, his top priorities are to deliver incredible images as well as keeping his crew happy and engaged.

Max’s work has been featured on Netflix, INSP, Travel Channel, Food Network, as well as Riot Games.

Max Mak is currently based in Los Angeles, CA.
